A clear plan after surgery.
Surgery is only part of recovery. We guide you from the first weeks after your operation to getting back to the life you had planned.
Why is physiotherapy important after surgery?
Structured physiotherapy after surgery helps you regain movement, strength and confidence, and get the best result from your operation. At GetFysio in Koramangala, Bengaluru, we follow your surgeon's guidance and take you step by step from early recovery back to everyday life and sport.

You might recognise some of this.
Recovering well from surgery takes time, structure and the right amount of challenge at each stage. Too little and progress stalls; too much and you risk a setback.
We give you a clear plan from the start, check your progress at every visit, and adjust as you go, so you can focus on getting better.
- You have had, or are about to have, ACL reconstruction
- You have had a knee or hip replacement
- Your surgeon has advised physiotherapy after an operation
- Stiffness, swelling or weakness that is slow to improve
- Unsure what is safe to do at each stage of recovery
Three parts, one plan.
- 01
Follow your surgeon's protocol
We work to your surgeon's guidance and keep them informed where needed, so your rehab is safe and consistent at every stage.
- 02
Hands-on care and technology
Manual therapy to restore movement and manage swelling, with modern equipment to help you regain strength and control.
- 03
Milestone-based progress
Clear goals for each phase, from walking without aids to returning to sport, so you always know where you are and what comes next.
- Electrotherapy (TENS and IFT)Gentle electrical currents for pain relief.
- High-intensity laser therapyFocused light to ease pain and inflammation.
Only when your assessment shows it will help, and always alongside hands-on care and exercise.
What recovery usually looks like.
Everyone is different. After your assessment we will give you your own estimate, and review it as you progress.
- First weeks
Manage pain and swelling, restore movement and get walking confidently.
- Rebuild
Build strength, balance and control for daily life.
- Return
Return to work, sport and activity. After ACL surgery this usually takes 9–12 months.
Common questions.
When should I start physiotherapy after surgery?
Usually within days of your operation, but always follow your surgeon's advice. Starting early helps with movement, swelling and confidence.
Can I start before my operation?
Yes. Rehab before surgery, often called prehab, can make recovery afterwards easier. Ask us about it once you have a date.
Do I need to bring anything?
Please bring your discharge summary, your surgeon's notes or protocol, and any scans you have.
Ready to get moving?
Book an assessment for post-surgery rehab. We will find the cause and give you a clear plan.
