Reach, lift and sleep without shoulder pain.
Shoulder pain can make the simplest things hard, from reaching a shelf to lying on your side. Most shoulder problems respond well to the right plan.
Can physiotherapy help shoulder pain?
Yes. Most shoulder pain, including frozen shoulder and rotator cuff problems, responds well to physiotherapy. At GetFysio in Koramangala, Bengaluru, we test which part of the shoulder is the problem, calm the pain, and rebuild strength and range so you can reach, lift and sleep comfortably again.

You might recognise some of this.
The shoulder is the most mobile joint in the body, which makes it versatile and also easy to overload. Pain often builds slowly, from long hours at a desk, repetitive lifting or a sudden increase in training.
We find which part of the shoulder is the problem, calm the pain and rebuild the strength and control you need to use your arm fully again.
- Pain when you reach overhead, behind your back or into a seatbelt
- Waking at night when you roll onto your shoulder
- A shoulder that has slowly become stiff over weeks or months
- Weakness or a painful arc when you lift your arm
- You have been told you have a rotator cuff problem or frozen shoulder
Three parts, one plan.
- 01
Pinpoint the cause
Shoulder pain has many sources, including the rotator cuff, the joint capsule and the neck. We test each one, so treatment targets the right structure.
- 02
Hands-on care and technology
Manual therapy to ease pain and restore movement. For calcific or long-standing tendon pain, shockwave or laser may help settle symptoms.
- 03
Strength and control
A progressive programme for the rotator cuff and shoulder blade muscles, so your shoulder can handle reaching, lifting and sport again.
- Shockwave therapyAcoustic pulses for stubborn tendon and heel pain.
- High-intensity laser therapyFocused light to ease pain and inflammation.
- Electrotherapy (TENS and IFT)Gentle electrical currents for pain relief.
Only when your assessment shows it will help, and always alongside hands-on care and exercise.
What recovery usually looks like.
Everyone is different. After your assessment we will give you your own estimate, and review it as you progress.
- Weeks 1–3
Settle pain, improve sleep and start gentle, safe movement.
- Weeks 3–12
Restore range and rebuild strength through the full movement.
- 3 months +
Back to lifting, sport and overhead work. Frozen shoulder can take longer, and we will guide you through each stage.
Common questions.
Do I need a scan?
Often not. A careful assessment usually tells us what we need to know. If a scan or a specialist opinion would change your treatment, we will tell you.
Should I rest my shoulder?
Complete rest usually makes a shoulder stiffer. We will show you which movements are safe and helpful right now.
Can physiotherapy help a rotator cuff tear?
Many rotator cuff tears, especially age-related ones, respond well to a structured strengthening programme. We will talk honestly with you about when surgery is worth considering.
